7 Tricks to Make Your Android Smartphone Faster




No one wants to have slow phone, but many of us have to settle for one as the hardware grow older, number of unwanted apps gets installed, storage space runs out, etc. The good news is that you don’t have to no more settle down with slow Android phone.

Here are seven quick tips for making your old Android run faster and increase its performance.


Tip #1: Uninstall Apps That You Don’t Use

The apps that you don’t use on regular basis, you can uninstall them as they are simply eating up storage space. Remember, you can always install them again, if you need them. Tap and hold the app icon and then drag it up to Uninstall to remove it.

This will clear the apps as well as app data that were consuming space in internal storage. Also, these apps will now not run in the background. As a result, you will now find that your phone is getting less distracted.

Tip #2: Clear Cached Data

The second trick that you must follow is that clear Android phone cached data. Note this will not delete any of your personal files or folders. To clear cached data, go to Settings > tap Apps > then tap on the app of which you want to clear cache. On the next screen tap on Clear Cache. Alternatively, you can clear cached data of all app at once, Go to Settings > tap Storage and then click on Clear cache.

This is very good habit because as your phone gets older all these caches gets accumulated and sometime becomes bloated and make some sluggishness on your device.


Tip #3: Remove Live Wallpapers, Scale Back Animations And Widgets

Live wallpapers, animations and lot of widgets makes phone run little slow, particularly when you do not have expensive phone.

Go to Settings > About Phone and tap on Build number seven times to activate Developer options to enter into the hidden Menu. From this screen, you can Turn OFF Animation.

Also replace the live wallpaper with the static image and try to reduce the widgets on the Home Screen, to further reduce the strain on your device system resources.

Tip #4: Factory Reset Your Device (The Last Option)

The most effective tips to boost up speed of your phone is to simply wipe everything on your device. Go to Settings > Tap Backup & Reset > Tap Erase Everything. This will erase all data stored within your device – hence, you must first backup and restore Android data and then factory reset your device.
